Given the site constraints it is the lightest possible solution, avoiding structural &#8216;gymnastics&#8217; which might detract from the sensitive setting &#8211; the bridge is a platform from which to experience and traverse its surroundings. The overall form of the bridge is simple, elegant and immediately visually legible. The bridge spans the river at height, therefore the structure can be located below walkway level to avoid any impact on views off the bridge.<\/p>\n<p><a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-29\" alt=\"Results of the Competition for the Salford Meadows Bridge\" src=\"https:\/\/blogdeconcursos.com\/resultados\/img\/res\/053\/m053_03a.jpg\" width=\"960\" height=\"672\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The line of support cables is continued above the level of the walkway to provide an immediately visible gateway at the Salford Crescent end. Stepped and ramped access at the Salford Meadows end is combined with a cascade of green seating, providing a natural amphitheatre.
